Frequently Asked Questions

A DID (Direct Inward Dialing) number is a phone number assigned to your eDialer system. Once added to your eTollFree customer portal, you can route it to an ingroup so inbound calls are distributed to your agents.
An Ingroup (inbound group) is a queue or routing group in VICIdial/eDialer that receives inbound calls and distributes them to available agents based on your configured call handle method.
Go to your eDialer administration dashboard, then navigate to Inbound > DIDs > Show DIDs. Click Modify next to the DID you want to configure.
It determines how inbound calls are handled once they reach the ingroup u2014 for example, whether calls wait in queue, go to voicemail, or follow another routing rule. Click the (?) icon next to the option in eDialer for a full definition.
Before routing a DID to an ingroup, you must first purchase and add the DID through your eTollFree customer portal. Check out our previous video tutorial on how to add the DID to eDialer.
