In the eDialer campaign, there are multiple ways to set up the Caller ID. Please check our videos on different CID setups.
Today, we will focus on how to set up an agent’s custom Caller ID in the eDialer system.
In the eDialer system, you can configure your campaign Caller ID to be agent-specific — meaning each agent can have their own phone number and Caller ID.
A. Set Up a Phone Extension Outbound Caller ID
Here’s a step-by-step setup:
- Login to your eDialer Administration Dashboard and go to the Admin Menu.
- Navigate to Phones and select Show Phones.
- Click Modify next to the phone extension you want to update.
- Enter the 10-digit phone number in the Outbound CallerID field (the 4th field on the page).
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
NOTE: Once you add a phone number to the phone extension’s Outbound CallerID field, it will automatically override the outbound campaign Caller ID.
B. Enable Agent’s Own CID for Manual Dial
If the agent has manual dial capability and you want the agent’s own CID to be active, follow these steps:
- Go to Campaigns.
- Select Campaigns Main.
- Click Modify on the desired campaign.
- Under Additional Dial Settings, locate the Manual Dial CID field.
- Choose Agent Phone from the dropdown and click Save Changes.
C. Configure Caller ID for 3-Way Transfers
For 3-way transfers, agents can choose which Caller ID is shown to the third party or transfer number they are connecting to.
- While still in the campaign settings, navigate to Additional Transfer Options Settings.
- Locate the 3-Way Call Outbound CallerID field.
- Use the dropdown to select the option that best fits your preferred settings.
- Click the circle with a question mark icon next to the field for a full description of each option.
- Click Save Changes.
