This is how to set up a campaign from scratch in the VICIdial interface.

  1. Go to Campaigns. From the VICIdial Administration page, navigate to Campaigns.
  2. Add a New Campaign. Click Add a New Campaign at the top of the page.
  3. Fill in the following field information:

    1. Campaign ID — A short name for the campaign. Must be 2–8 alphanumeric characters.
Note: You cannot change the Campaign ID after clicking Submit.
    2. Campaign Name — A descriptive name for the campaign (6–40 character limit).
    3. Campaign Description — Optional. Use this field for a campaign memo or any additional information.
    4. Admin User Group — Restricts admin viewing of this campaign and its assigned lists to a specific user group.
    5. Active — Enables the campaign. Set this to active to allow it to run.
    6. Park Music-on-Hold — The hold music that plays when an agent places a call on hold.
    7. Web Form — Set the custom web page that opens when the agent clicks the Web Form button.
    8. Allow Closers — Determines whether agents on this campaign can transfer calls to a closer.
    9. Minimum Hopper Level — The number of leads the hopper loading script attempts to keep in the hopper table for this campaign at all times.
    10. Auto Dial Level — Sets how many lines the system uses per active agent. A value of 0 disables auto-dialing, requiring agents to click to dial each number manually.
    11. Next Agent Call — Defines how the next live call will be connected to an available agent.
    12. Local Call Time — Sets the hours during which the system will dial, based on the local time of the area being called.
    13. Voicemail — Used to configure the voicemail drop option for the campaign.
    14. Script — If you have uploaded and activated a script in the dialer system, you can assign it to this campaign from this dropdown.
    15. Get Call Launch — Choose what happens when a call is sent to an agent: auto-launch the web form in a separate window, auto-switch to the Script, Email, or Chat tab (email and chat must be enabled), or do nothing.
  4. Click Submit to save your initial campaign settings.
  5. Set the Dial Method. After submitting, locate the Dial Method field:

    1. Select Ratio or Adapt for predictive dialing.
    2. Select Manual or Inbound Manual for manually dialed calls.
  6. Click Submit again to save your Dial Method selection and finalize the campaign.
